R: ao40
Hi Peter, DB2OS
In my opinion AO40 was the best satellite ever made by AMSAT and we
hope that some time in the future it will be recovered because we suddently
losted all satellite friends around the globe.
In addition many people invested a lot of energies and a lot of money for
their U-L-S antennas and equipments.
In waiting for "the future" all the above antennas and equipments for AO40
must receive periodical and preventional maintenance or they must removed.
P3-E is the only hope for those of us who like CW and SSB and DXing along
with microwave experimentation and have suffered long the lost of a
wonderful satellite like AO40
To be more realistic it would be very important to know when P3-E will
be operational to seriously restore the Satellite Amateur Service.
