Re: ECHO 51

 Hello all,
After reading 100 + emails I am wondering what purpose the CTCSS tone
serves, other than to make access difficult. A syliblic rate squelch would
keep non voice interference from holding the transmit on. A simple switch
off when over parts of the world whre the up link can not be used.

Echo has succeded in creating a e-mail pile up even if no one makes a
contact on the bird! This could be a new reccord, the number of e-mails
generated per QSO on Echo!
