Re[2]: Doppler correction for ISS on FT-847

Hello Don,

do you already have tried your solution in a real software, or is it
only theoretical ?

I am asking only, because in the early development stage of my software
"FT847-SuperControl", i tried the same solution, but was not able to get
the FT-847 into accepting the different repeater offsets. So i came to
the conclusion, that the FT-847 is always using the internal repeater
offset which only can be altered in the internal transceiver menu.

Of course i know that there are special repeater offset CAT commands
described in the FT-847 user manual, but personally i was not able to
use them in the pronounced way and i could not get them to work as
expected. So i took out this possibility from the software. Of course
this also could be a limitation of a European transceiver only, but i
don't know. If you say that it will work with your US transceiver,
then of course i could add this feature again into SuperControl.
But i don't believe it.

Best regards es
