Robert,

I had "no" reception until adding a 432 preamp, then even a ground-plane
antenna gave up to S-9+ signals...using a 6-elem yagi (Arrow) and getting
very good tlm copy....need auto-tune/auto-track for flawless copy as Echo
moves fast!
