I certainly would love to see this myself..

As it's really been a serious limitation for such an incredible radio like
this to have such a noise on this frequency. A significant oversight I would
say. Or maybe worse, to have documented it as a problem, but ship the radio
even still.

I wonder if you, or perhaps anyone else might know, if Kenwood
have supplied a patch to get rid of the internal carrier on 436.800
yet ?
