FO-29 and AO-7 uplinlink/downlink requirements

What uplink ERP and downlink antenna gain are needed to successfully work these birds? I'd like to know about both modes for AO-7.
I'm constructing a homebrew antenna for FM sats right now that I'm hoping might be able to be used for FO-29 and AO-7 mode B too.
