[amsat-bb] re: mode b anyone?

Hi AMSATs,

Another interresting science fiction story this High Altitude Airship 
(HAA)...
Like the Star Wars project (shooting missiles with laser from a space 
satellite) , anyone knows how this project is going ? Or is it still science 
fiction ?

Even when it will be reality I will still prefer a satellite as a satellite 
covers more of the earth than these balloons... A satellite is usefull for 
all hams aroubd the world, and this balloon will soon be a local chat box 
hihi...

For ham radio it would be easier to make a small transponder and send it up 
with a normal balloon, and filled with less pressure, so it stays up for 
long time...

Just my idea about it...
But when you can do it, do it...
