[amsat-bb] GOES Reception

It might be a bit off topic, but I have seen some postings regarding 1691Mhz
reception of GOES images.
Please be aware, that sometime this spring, the NOAA GOES birds will cease
analog wefax transmission. They are moving towards digital LRIT. This will
require new receivers and software.
Right now it is in the testing phase, with a 1/2 hour, each hour, testing
the digital format. See time-step.com, for a good overview, or the noaa.gov
site.
