RE: [amsat-bb] Anyone built K5OE Eggbeater II antennas ?

I am not certain how visible this will be in wire, but years ago I had
occasion to anneal several sheets of copper.  Used a large torch with
diffuser.  When it was at the right temp, a distinctive black coating would
form on the copper.  Very different from normal discoloration caused by the
torch.
