Of course, the counter to that is, will it take longer to download than
the 2-3 week wait some people have been experiencing as of late?

I am all for a pdf/postscript/whatever format for the journal if that
helps save printing costs and allows more money to be spent developing
and launching sats. If I want a print copy, I've got a printer, or a
Kinkos/Copyworks/etc. However, it cannot be assumed that all amsat
members have internet access.

I don't think the issue of what is preferred can really be determined
until a survey of amsat members is completed. However, shifting the
print cost to those who want it instead of everyone, and eliminating the
postage cost appears to free up a sizeable sum of money for other
endeavors.
