What difference does it make? IMHO man was born with innate
ability to explore and reason why things are as they are. Man will
continue to explore the unknown and will continue to take risks on
earth, in the depths of the oceans, on the moon, and in space.

Although our ability to travel to Mars is somewhat limited today.
new propulsion systems are being designed (see
http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/jimo/) , and I am confident that one day
man will walk on Mars in the somewhat near future.
Why you ask, simply because it's there.

History has recorded many of mans first accomplishments and
history will continue to do so.

How do I determine my power budget to reach Europa?
