Hmmm, this multi-national, multi-lingual web site may have possibilities.
I'd be among the first to admit that its implementation (not to mention its
maintenance) would require _significant_ effort. But, we already attain our
challenging goals ... look what we're flying up in space. This
AMSAT-International web page would just have a different team meeting a new
challenge.

I propose that a new web site could take a 2-tiered approach. We'd have a
section of amateur radio satellites for everyone, and a paid section for
access to the premium stuff. Access to the paid section would be
accomplished with membership in any AMSAT organization around the world.
Then each country's AMSAT organization would contribute a fee to the pool
which pays for maintaining the site.

Eventually we'd have articles in English, German, Swedish, Russian,
Japanese, etc. Can we read them all? Not at the start. But keep in mind
what an open source model has done for linux? Eventually we'd have
translations available ... it just needs to get out there.

The articles will have likely appeared in each country's Journal in its
native language. Once published locally why not submit it to the
AMSAT-International page?

Lots of ideas, lots of issues, lots of breaking how we've always done
things! But I thought I put my 2¢ out there. I realize this isn't going to
get set up overnight ... but remember when a few guys sat around talking
about "what if we could fly a ham station in space?"
