Re: FT-847 Failure- need Suggestions



 My guess is the power switch is defective. A known problem. If you open up
the set you can test to see if this is true. I had this problem once , I
ordered the switch, in the meantime I found the power switch is  DPDT. So
you can wire up the other side of the switch and keep on talking till the
replacement arrives....
