FT1Z on AO-40 in 2004

Lieber Hardy

After a 3 weeks voyage from FR5 to FT5W and FT5X, Sebastien FT1ZL arrived on
Amsterdam Island the 24th of december 2003, as planned.
The AO-40 equipment has been unpacked and temporarily installed.
At the present time, Sebastien is fighting against an unexpected local QRM
on the 2,4 GHz downlink and is trying to find a quieter place for the
antenna system.

Some parts of his personal luggage, including the 435 MHz 20 el beam didn't
arrive for an unknown reason, so there is little chance for him at the
moment to be active on the sat.
We are waiting for the next supply ship visit (there are some of them within
the next few months) to see if the antenna reappears or to deliver another
new one.
Last week, Sebastien discovered on site an old wrecked 17 el beam which he
is presently trying to adapt for 435 MHz.
