I am running version 2.04 regularly, but it's hard to compare with the
former version unless I would switch between both.

AE4JY answered to me directly on my inquiry. You may be interested what he
is writing:
----------------------
The little yellow "thing" is an indicator of soundcard sample frequency
error. The more the error the faster it revolves around the circle. One
can use the Bit Adjustment control to try and reduce the error and obtain a
nearly stationary yellow thing. You must be locked onto the AO40 signal to
do the adjustment.

This feature was added because many soundcards(actually the Windows driver)
have a substantial sample rate error which will degrade the receive
performance. Next iteration should remove this problem by bumping the
sample rate to 48KHz where it seems all cards are on frequency.

Also several have complained that the latest version is not as sensitive ans
the previous one. I havent had time to investigate this problem.
