Re: Working birds while mobile?



Had I not had so much fun on UO-14, AO-27, and SO-35 on a long work
assignment in the upper midwest 3 winters ago, I'm not sure I'd have stuck
around the birds. I spent many hours in a vehicle working those 3 sats with
just a dualband Alinco mobile and a 1/4 wave magmount. It wasn't the best
station to use, but a rare grid is a special treat to operate from. As my
enthusiasim grew I added a preamp, the arrow, then SSB at home, then AO-40
and so on.....
