Re: Intolerance
Hi Guys,
I have to agree with Bob on this one Cliff. I got my license in Feb 2003
and discovered UO-14 in March. Now it's a constant path of
discovery. Despite "elmers" telling me that certain modes (ie packet) were
useless without a major investment in huge antennas and rotators I have
worked every satellite (and more) that Bob has mentioned. Amateur
Satellites aren't limited by budget, space (I live in a townhouse apartment
with CRC's) or height, but they are limited by small thinking. Anyone who
doesn't think they can work satellites should talk to Allen N5AFV, myself
and the countless others who find ways to make do. You can, if you want to.
We may be amateurs, but we've learned a thing or two along the way from
guys like you and Bob. And we can disagree from time to time, but the
goals are the same.
It's a hobby - let's enjoy it.
73,
Emily
