The question Barry is asking is that when it comes to ARISS is that AMSAT
seems to come out on the short end of the publicity stick. ARISS gets a
lot of publicity as if it was an organizational entity unto itself, when in
fact it is a program. That program is jointly funded by a number of
organizations, AMSAT among them. However it seems that AMSAT gets very
little publicity and other organizations seem to get much more.
I recognize the enormous benefit ARISS provides to amateur radio as a
whole. However, as a member of AMSAT, I am always curious to know if we
are getting a good return on our investment, something I'm not in a
position to answer.
Rather than trying to answer the question with belittling questions that
could start a flame war, it would be nice if someone in AMSAT management
could speak directly to the issue. I think it's a valid question.
