Hello all,

for all those interested in the new 23cm LDMOS PAs fom G3WDG and DB6NT, an
article about a switched regulator for generating 28V out of 12V is almost
done, to be published in DUBUS. At 4.5A output current (126 W), I measured
over 93% efficiency with two prototypes. That is less than 10W dissipated
power in the regulator. The inductor is off-the-shelf, so no need for any
fancy wound stuff.. Charlie, G3WDG built another one with similar results
and already operated it on his 50W PA.

Just let me finish the photos and some cosmetics in the text.. :)
