I have found a good site for different conductive cloths, including the
stuff that G6LVB used on his "brolly" dish.

I've considered the SHIELDIT http://www.lessemf.com/fabric.html as an
iron-on to an umbrella, but the cost is a bit prohibitive.

I tried silvered Mylar, but it's not very durable, and doesn't hold well.

I was hoping to avoid completely replacing the material on the umbrella if
possible.

I was hoping one of the photo types might have enough metal content to work
out of the box (and they are cheap).

I'm also considering cutting some aluminum flashing that I can slip into
each pie wedge once the umbrella is opened up ala a solar oven:
