What a brilliant idea and free of charge.

If you take time to patrol the passband, you will see NUMEROUS signals topping MB. The worst case scenario
came from L-Banders who are nearly not affected by LEILA and AGC who constantly transmission after
transmission always topping MB. I understand some L-mode constraints due to power amp schemes re: transverter
driving amps at fixed power level (high and low) One is too much the other too low, but with proper antenna
positionning there is a way to reduce ERP transmitted towards AO-40 without sacrificing too much RX signal
levels.

On UHF uplink it is a head tail running syndrome or called it the mad dog syndrome. AGC is reducing the pass
band levels i cranked up my power and so on. I run after my tail...

I understand a time to time overdriving but to be regularly equal or over MB demonstrate a lack of knowledge
and it is normal for newcommers but not for experience OP'S.

This too much ERP problem is not restricted only to north america but it is a world wide problem. I hope the
same advisory idea can be made elsewhere in various language.

By the way my www.qsl.net/ve2dwe web page show the effects of too much ERP power. Beware the ERP...
