I understand the "concerns have already been expressed by various individuals within the Senate about
national security issues relating to orbital data " But without overeacting what national security issues
amateur satellite can cause?

As previously noted we are supposed to have a very vast audience on this reflector. Could be someone will
take note of your comments and forwarded them to the Hasgards.

I just hope someone can take over the amateur keps, for the rest it's not in the best interest of NASA and
ARISS to stop publishing keps on a free basis when we ask young folks to play with amateur satellite tracking
software to learn how to see satellites in the sky? We are working backwards if we wants to gain any public
support for space exploration and programs.

There is a lot of software available on the market to calculate satellites orbits as easy available as flight
simulaters programs. If some individuals are concern with Goa'ulds mother ships threats just don't publish
the military or other sensitive ones and let the international ones available to general public on a free
basis,
