RE: Bias Tee

I had poor results(excessive loss) powering a 2.4GHz antenna-mounted preamp
with a simple CATV type bias tee from the shack through 75 ft of coax. A
CATV type is ok for powering a downconverter at 145MHz.

I ended up using a separate 12Vdc line to power the preamp. Before deciding
to do that I purchased a really fine bias tee which is rated for 2.4GHz. Of
course it would work nicely for 145MHz too if you want something of better
quality. I would like to sell it. Here is the info.

Click on Accessories and look for the BT-2400 near the end of the list of
accessories.
As shown it is in a cast metal box with female N connectors. It has a 2.1mm
dc connector to connect a wall wart. Also has an LED for power indication.

If interested contact me via email.
