Radio Shack has some 12 volt  "grain of wheat" bulbs, either with a
clear or a green tint to them, that can be made to work. The clear ones
will have to use the green tape, while the green ones, which are sold as
part of a multicolor assortment, will probably be okay as they are.
Shouldn't cost more than 5 bucks to change 'em all out, even if you have
to buy more than you need. The store near me does not use the display
boards anymore for small parts, they put them in  drawer cabinets.
