RE: G-5400B voltages




I had a problem similar to this once.

In NOVA, in the rotator control setup, there is a parameter called A/D
Smoothing Factor.  It sort of averages the antenna position so that it does
not jump every count, but rather takes the average count to decide on moving
the antenna.

I once got this too high, and the antenna averaging never caught up to the
antenna position.  Because of this, the antenna would hunt back and forth
over the target, but never quite lock on it.

You might check this, just to see.  I cannot tell you what number is correct
for you, I think the default is 1, I am using 3.
