Re: Yaesu G-5500 voltages
I have had similar problems with this unit and found that my problem was indeed the output pots. They had been nailed by lightning or at least a very close strike. As a result, it charred the pot(s) at one end. The output voltages are suppose to be a max of 5 volts and should be adjustable slightly above to calibrate, Since the pot(s) were charred at one end and operating open ended, adjusting the pots did little in getting the calibration to come in. Hopefully that is all that is wrong with your. The pots were rather inexpensive and being in the "lightning capital" of the world, I had bought extras to play it safe. The meter calibrated pots were fine and the unit was controller
manually without problems.
