Not unusual. LOTW has problems handling satellite QSOs.
If you list the sat name as AO-40 and the ham on the other end of your QSO 
lists the name as AO40 or Oscar 40, LOTW will NOT accept that as a match. 
get the idea?  The freq of your QSOs need to match too.
