I'm definitely no rocket scientist but what if the satellite WAS in a high
circular orbit over the equator and had two booms with permanent magnets
oriented to align the craft with the poles. Worst case, would it just spin
on the north-south "axle" ? Is there enough magnetic field at medium earth
orbit for this to work? If this is totally ridiculous please exercise your
delete key : )
