Anyone using AMCOM's Clear Speech Speaker with AO-40?
It's been my experience that some AF DSP boxes tend to produce a "hollow"
sound which can make copy worse. The NR improves signal-to-noise ratio, but
intelligibility usually suffers. On cw, the NR tends to do a better job
without degrading the signal much.
If the AMCOM's DSP noise reduction is anything like the state-of-the-art
DSP used on ICOM's 756 Pro, then it may be worth the expence to add to my
satellite rig.
Does anyone have an AO-40 comparison sound clip using the Clear Speech
Speaker?
