Tim,
While there are no solid numbers, I would say that the Net numbers are
not even close. Don't forget that the net is basically only the
Americas. When I hit an east daytime orbit the Europeans are plentiful.
Also, there are a good number if us who concentrate on Telemetry,
command functions, experiments, and the like, not vocalizing very often.
Interesting question, but virtually impossible to ever determine.

Do you, or does anyone else, have a sense of what the total size of the
AO-04 user base might be at this time?  Do you guess that the the
Beacon+20 net participants represent a good portion of the total AO-40
user base, or just a small fraction?
