R: being heard over LEILA siren

Hi Wayne W9AE,

When LEILA siren come on top of a L-band uplink it is not because
LEILA is watching a strong L signal but because LEILA is watching a
RADAR signal in U-band

This happens very very seldom over a L-band uplink.

Since the L-band uplinks aren't notched you can be copiable on top of
the siren provided your uplink power is enough to exceed the LEILA
level.

Try please to increase your power in L band with the purpose to
deliberately activate the siren and you will see that any increase is idle.

In other words LEILA is not directly activating the siren for strong
L-band uplinks.
