Wayne replies:
I presume you are using "N" connectors on your LMR600. You could add a
double female N connector and a 10 foot piece of coax with little or no
effect on the voltage getting to your downconverter and/or preamp. All "N"
connectors have DC continuity.
If your 10 foot splice uses smaller cable such as LMR400 or 9913, you can
reduce the total number of connectors by buying inline N-female connectors.
They are hard to find but they do exist. I don't know if there is an inline
N-female connector for LMR600.
