Well, then we give them an opt out option.  I don't think too many companies
are going to target AMSAT members based on just a name and a callsign when
they have the FCC database at hand. Or the amsat-bb archives.

And for the record, I tell Lowe's and Circuit City and the other stores that
ask for my phone number "No Thanks". I don't think it's quite the same
though. Regardless, an opt-out option (or opt-in) solves your concerns,
doesn't it?
