Dear Interested Mars Radio Amateurs,
We have just concluded 3 days of testing between the MGS and Mars
Odyssey spacecraft in orbit at Mars and the SRI 46-meter Antenna. We
successfully transmitted CW to and received CW from both spacecraft.
This test is a precursor to a more ambitious test with both
spacecraft during Opposition the week of August 25th. It is hoped to
have a more detailed sequence of events and Doppler predictions
available to the amateurs in advance of that test. As ever, stay
tuned. And thank you for your interest.
Sincerely,
John
