RE: more cubesats



One of the big mistakes made by newly licensed hams is that they spend too
much money on that first rig. When you spend big bux to get that fancy FM
mobile rig (and I've seen them that cost more than a multi-mode!) you limit
what options you have for future operating.

When I got licensed Ron, N1AHH, told us new guys "buy the cheapest 2 meter
radio you can find and visit the other hams' shack. Then you will have a
better idea what you want to do in ham radio".

He was right. I didn't have all my ham piggy bank in one thing and that
allowed me to try many different facets of the hobby. Of course, that was
back in the dark ages... 8-)
