Re: Need AO-40 Squint Angle Calculator / Program

Hello Jim,
Alon/Alat can be entered in the Squint.SQF file, that can be opened from the
SatPC32 "?" menu.
In program version 11.0 I had modified the squint angle calculations for
AO-40. To save continuous updates of the Alon/Alat reference date (due to
the continuous attitude manouvres) the user can enter "now" instead of the
date. After this change the squint angle calculations were correct only for
Alon/Alat 0/0 (you are right!). If you have that version, you may fix the
bug provisionally by adding 5 spaces between the end of the "now" and the
following komma (the program expected a string of exact 8 chars length, that
caused the error, when Alon/Alat are <> 0/0). I fixed this bug in the
following version 11. Therefore the squint angle calculations of the actual
versions are correct.
The squint angle calculations are based on an article of Dr. Gerhard
Zickwolff, DL1TV, in AMSAT-DL Journal 2/1990.
