I just bought a PrimeStar dish (on eBay) and the shipping & packing charge
was $20.

Actually, you'd be surprised the surcharge isn't that much.  My P* dish 
came in a huge box and the shipping on that only cost my about 18 
bucks.  I was very surprised.
