Another possible option would be to re-crystal the downconverter to put the
LO on the high side. Then the image would fall around 2688MHz. I'm not
sure what services occupy this band, but it may be quieter than where the
3G services are. You would have to put up with inverted sideband and
opposite tuning of course, but in case this area of spectrum is clearer,
then at least you would be able to user AO-40.
