My point was even brilliant people have "lunie" ideas at times.
BTW, if "I" were a astronaut/HAM aboard ISS I'd probably be calling down
for a cross-band interface to be built and sent up rather than using the
"rubber band".

You might think that is a lunie idea, but if I was a HAM, and I was on ISS
and I had a VHF Ericcson and a UHF Erricson, I would sure look for a
rubber band to experiment with full duplex operations!
By the way, both radios ARE on board. It just takes someone to do it.
