RE: Video from imbedded correspondents

My best guess is INMARSAT bonded 64K links. I work in television
transmission, specializing in MPEG-2 over fiber but I know that there
are several devices that can take baseband (as well as SDI with embedded
audio) video and audio and compress it to a 128K bitstream. If you are
really interested I can probably find out exactly what Fox is using.

Anybody know how the journalists are getting their audio and video back
to
their news networks (live) while moving with the mechanized infantry
close
to the front?
