Particularly when offpointing during non-zero ALON/ALAT's (but also when
nearing perigee during low ALON/ALAT), spin modulation occurs which is due
to the fact that the observer is seeing the s/c's antenna off-axis and
therefore can be fairly eliptical if not linear and even reversed in some
extreme cases.
