Tom, Ken and Bob,
Thanks for the answers. I had a notion that "secular" was being used in
the sense of "worldly", but was pretty baffled by "osculating" ... the
Google links I found talked about it, but I didn't pick up on the origin
of the term.
And thanks to the other guys for the humor also!
