[amsat-bb] Preamplifier design?

I am looking for a preamplifier design that is retiree (low-bucks and
not-so-hot vision/steadiness) reproducible to use with my Drake and/or
Norsat. At one time, several people were discussing a 54143 device
that looked very promising (no neg. bias, low nf, low cost) but I have
not seen anything further. Thanks!
