AO-49 / Any signals observed on 13th?

Dear AO-49 users and observers,

we detected yesterday over AO-49's passes over Europe that only
one INFO UI frame at 13:34 UTC (13.01.2003) was sent.

Any other activities noticed anywhere?

Probably the satellite has turned in a position that the solar
panel is not yet proper directed to the sun and therefor is
not switched on.

This may fit to the other observed effect on the path of
12th, 19:47UTC, where a lot of INFO frames without expected
DATA0 and DATA1 frames were observed, shortly before entering
into eclipse.

>From the SAFIR-M design point of view it is correct that after
being switched on, SAFIR-M sends first the beacon signal
(INFO, DATA0, DATA1, MH0, MH1).
Toggeling between On and Off within few seconds may also cause
this effect, that only INFO messages are sent...

Any reports about SAFIR-M activities are appreciated,
please direct the to DG6BCE@aatis.de.
