Re: Wireless Internet access

Convergenow has problems other than if they're using legal equipment or not.
This has been going around on the Broadband and WISP forums for about a month
now. *IF* they're using equipment that's been certified as a system by the
FCC, then they can do what they advertise. Several companies sell Part 15
equipment, completely certified, and squeaky-clean as far as the FCC is
concerned, for exactly this purpose.
How you deal with interference from hundreds of thousands of 802.11b devices
spreading accross the country is another matter. The Genie is out of the
bottle, and he 'AINT going back in.
