I am suspicious that you have another problem.
A 70cm uplink physically separated from a UEK-3000 by a few inches or more
should not be any problem at all...
Prior to adding any traps, I would look for some poor grounds on all feed
lines and feeds. I am not familiar with the TS-2000 but I don't recall
anyone suggesting that it is a slop-bucket. Perhaps others on the -bb that
own a TS-2000 could comment.
Pending the thoughts of others, I would check everything metal and be sure
EVERYTHING is WELL grounded.

I have a ts-2000, a old hygain on 435, so that is the uplink.  down is the
n3iyr,helix feed,UEK-3000.  The 435 gets into the downlink. From what you
are saying it is a front end overload of the UEK-3000 so will a trap between
the helix and the downconverter work.    Doug
