It's easy to set up a custom repeater split and store it in a FT-847 memory
for ISS.
Unfortunately, you can't do that via the CAT interface. Via the keyboard,
you can dial up a TX offset frequency with a resolution of 1 Hz. But via
the FT-847 CAT interface, you can only specify the offset in increments of
10 kHz. That's not good enough for computer-controlled Doppler tuning.
Fortunately, Doppler tuning isn't really necessary for ISS as long as they
continue to operate on 2m.
The FT-736 CAT interface supports TX offset increments of 1 kHz. That's
good enough for rudimentary computer-controlled Doppler tuning of the TX
frequency when operating in split mode for the ISS.
