RE: ICOM IC-910 --REPLY--

Chuck,
Re: The Icom 910H
It is a great Box.. I have two of them, one at home qth and one portable in
FL. I added the 1.2Ghz module and have just received the UT-106 DSP Notch
and noise filter, not yet installed. It is VERY NICE. Only gripe would be,
not liking the S meter scale blanking that takes place when you turn down
the RF gain. A quick fix would be an external 20-25db pad. The down
converter output is so hot that without reducing the front end gain you
except unwanted noise. Not expectable on GTO birds with poor squints.
All in all I would give it a 90 of 100..

Has any one bought an Icom IC-910 for satellite use yet? If so how
does it perform. Or have I missed any reviews.
