Re: subaudible tones on FT-847 in satellite mode

I also did the low volume headphone mod , which I thought was the same mod
Jon, but when I found the following URL I realized that it is yet another
mod. Remember that great 847 site that was around for years, I tried to go
there and found it has been rehosted, sort of anyway....

http://www.supercontrol.de/cat/ft847faq/ft847faq.htm

This site has a wealth of 847 info.
Now I knew enough to A=B to set the PL , but my 847 has some quirky
behavior with PL tones, they seem to magically change by themselves. My 847
was one of the first unit's built after they fixed the bi-directional CAT
control problem by replacing the CPU. I hope this site will be useful to
newer owners of 847's
