Low ESR Capacitors - Capacitors in space

There is quite a bit of discussion on some of the newsgroups right now
(google=Low ESR Capacitors) about high failure rate of some types of
imported low ESR capacitors (6.3 V >1000 uFd) used on popular computer
motherboards. Also, the normal expected life of electrolytic capacitors
is not very high. What kind of capacitors are being used on the OSCAR
satellites? Are there "space rated" types which are more durable? I
remember some tubular tantalums from the 70's that were supposed to be
pretty good. What is out there today in the way of reliable lytic's?
